Adoption Information

 

  1. Adoption Applications take 3 days to process, please fill out the application completely.
  2. Adoptions are made on an approved applications basis.
  3. We do not have an adoption fee.
  4. All applicants should be notified of approval or denial.
  5. If you're approved, you will need to make an appointment with a Calhoun County vet of your choice to have the animal spayed/neutered and a rabies shot administered.
  6. If the animal has already been altered you will still need to make an appointment for a rabies shot if the animal is not current.
  7. All animals will be spayed/neutered and a rabies shot administered by the age of 6 months. This is State Law.
  8. You will call us back with the date and time of the appointment. All appointments need to be made for 3pm or later Mon - Fri (Spay/Neuters can be dropped off the night before an AM surgery).
  9. We will drop the animal off at the vet; you will be responsible for retrieving the animal and paying the vet bill.
