| Calhoun County "Ken Joiner" Administration Building will not open this morning due to flood damage. |

The Ken Joiner Administration Building will be closed until at least noon today, August 31, 2010 due to flood damage caused by a broken water pipe. It is still not clear when the pipe broke, but anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of water had pooled in the offices located on the western side of the building. The extent of the damage will not be known for a couple more days. The offices hardest hit include the Auburn Extension Office, the Revenue Commissioners offices (Appraisal, Assessing, Mapping and Personal Property), the GIS Dept, State Probation offices and the Commissioner of Licenses office. |
