Notary Public Applicant Requirements

Notaries Public are commissioned by the Probate Judge of each County and hold office for four years from the date of commission.

  • Applicant must be a registered voter or provide documentation establishing proof of residency in Calhoun County
  • The applicant must submit a notary bond from an insurance or bonding company
  • Each person must submit an application for appointment as Notary Public
  • Filing fee is:  $25.00
  • Once you have your notary appointment, a notary seal may be obtained from an office supply company.
