Job Summary

The County Attorney provides comprehensive expert legal services, characterized by advanced complexity and broad variety of litigation, legal interpretation, and knowledge and practice of administrative law that encompasses all of the elected officials of county government and for all of the departments under the Board of County Commissioners. The County Attorney is also responsible for administration of the Legal Department and supervision of the Legal Assistant personnel. The County Attorney or designated assistant attend all meetings of the Board of County Commissioners.

Field Crew Worker

Department: Calhoun County Sports Complex ( Woodland Park)
Reports to: Office Manager
Pay: 1099 form ( $11.64 an hour)

Experience with Softball and Baseball fields needed! Monday-Thursday 7am-11pm Saturday hours vary on games played.

Job Summary

Perform infield maintenance, trash pick-up, and repair work of baseball/softball fields including but not limited to: watering infields, repairing bases, pitching mounds, batter's boxes and transition areas of infield and outfield.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

Work in this class includes sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting weights of approximately 65 lbs or less unassisted and weights over 65 lbs with assistance. Work includes both indoor and outdoor activity where employee is exposed to elements of nature: cold, hot, rain, snow, sleet, ice, etc. Employee must be able to maneuver in tight places such as the crawl space under a building, climb ladders, step over obstacles, step on and off machinery, etc. Work includes operation of a motor vehicle. Employee may be exposed to hazardous materials.

Job Summary

General manual labor involving maintaining the roads located near the Calhoun County Landfill and landfill property by removing litter and illegally dumped items. Supervision is received from the Calhoun County Landfill Supervisor, who assigns work and reviews work through observation and periodic conferences.

Must be able to meet the physical requirements prior to admission to the Police Training Academy.  Any applicant who has been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or use of force or violence; any person acquiring (15) or more points for traffic violations within a two year period, or any conviction of drug offenses other than first time conviction for possession of marijuana for personal use, shall not be eligible. Must be a citizen of the United States.  Former military personnel must have honorable discharge from duty.
Beginning Salary is $19.67/hr. Salary for APOST certified officers depends on years of certified service.
